SNAG — Privacy Policy

Save Notes And Go · Chrome Extension

No data collected

What SNAG Does

SNAG is a lightweight web clipper. You select text on any webpage, right-click, and send it directly to a Google Doc of your choice. That's it.

Data Collection

SNAG does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

There is no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, no server, no database. The extension operates entirely within your browser.

How It Works (Technical)

When you clip text, the extension sends it directly from your browser to the Google Docs API using your own Google account credentials (OAuth). The data flow is:

Your browser → Google Docs API

There is no intermediate server. No data passes through any third-party infrastructure or any server we operate.

Permissions Explained

Third Parties

SNAG does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics tools. The only external service involved is the Google Docs API, which you authenticate with directly through your Google account.

Local Storage

SNAG uses chrome.storage.local to save your settings (e.g., target document ID). This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

Children's Privacy

SNAG is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
