Save Notes And Go · Chrome Extension
No data collectedSNAG is a lightweight web clipper. You select text on any webpage, right-click, and send it directly to a Google Doc of your choice. That's it.
SNAG does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.
There is no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, no server, no database. The extension operates entirely within your browser.
When you clip text, the extension sends it directly from your browser to the Google Docs API using your own Google account credentials (OAuth). The data flow is:
Your browser → Google Docs API
There is no intermediate server. No data passes through any third-party infrastructure or any server we operate.
drive.file — The most restrictive Google Drive scope. SNAG can only access files it created or that you explicitly opened with it. It cannot see or access any other file in your Drive.contextMenus — Adds a "Send to Google Doc" option to the right-click menu.activeTab — Allows SNAG to read the text you selected on the current tab, only when you trigger the extension. It cannot read any page in the background.storage (chrome.storage.local) — Stores your preferences (such as the target document ID) locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device.SNAG does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics tools. The only external service involved is the Google Docs API, which you authenticate with directly through your Google account.
SNAG uses chrome.storage.local to save your settings (e.g., target document ID). This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
SNAG is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
If this policy is updated, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
